T-Shirt Pillows
These pillows are very easy to make and are so cute!! I made my 9 year old a couple and also made my 3 year old one. They love the fact they have pillows made from their favorite shirts! :)
So gather up some old shirts that dont fit or you just dont wear anymore and lets make some pillows!!
Supplies needed:
Sewing Machine
Poly Fill
Old T-shirts
Pinking Shears
I used an old pj shirt for this one
Next I sewed all the way around the design on the front. Be sure to leave an opening at the bottom to put the poly fill in.
Next I used the pinking shears and went all the way around it to give it that "scalloped edge". Once I was done with that I went ahead and filled it with poly fill.
Now you need to sew up the hole that was left at the bottom
You are done and now have a cute little pillow!!!
Here are the ones I made my 9 year old son

Wood Photo Cube Redone
Another one of my crafting experiments!! I decided to get a wood photo cube and cover it with fabric. I think it turned out alright but there will be some things I do differently if I make another one!

Covered Photo Album
Today I made a covered photo album for my niece's birthday to go with her fleece blanket. They are rally fun to make and you can be as creative as you want! On others that I have made I have added lace around the edges. Here is the process and some photos! :)
Here are some pics of the process!
Supplies: batting, ribbon, fabric, little flowers (optional), and photo album.
Close up of the fabric and ribbon, it has sparkles also
Measuring the batting-- cut little bigger than the album
Cut out notches where book folds
Spray the batting and the photo album
Covered
Measure and cut material-- little bigger than the album
Cut notches out of fabric
Inside of album after fabric is wrapped around the front. To cover where the batting is I cut a piece of fabric and used the spray adhesive and put it over the batting. (No pic, sorry). Repeat for the back of album.
Finished album outside and inside

Relay For Life
Little background:
One of my nieces was diagnosed with Leukemia last year when she was only 15 years old; it almost took her life. She has fought a long hard battle but is winning!! So since she is doing so well her mom created a Relay For Life team (Believing In Miracles)to help raise money for the American Cancer Society. We have had several fundraisers and have collected over $1,000 so far!!! Our relay event is in July! My sister and I made a bunch of goodies to sell to raise money. I just wanted to post pics of the things we made!!
Cake Pops!
Hard Candy Suckers
Chocolate Suckers
Chocolate Ribbons- they are orange because the Leukemia ribbon is orange

I found this tutorial to make "Sweet Candy Pouches" online and just had to try them! Since I know VERY little about sewing I had a friend come over and help me figure it out lol. I dont think it turned out too bad for the first one!
